Global Pact for Education.
On September 12, 2019, Pope Francis launched the invitation to the "Global Pact for Education" which was celebrated in the Vatican on May 14, 2020.
Pope Francis' initiative to propose a global alliance for education is shaking up institutions around the world.
By proposing the celebration of a Covenant, the Pope recognizes the need to unite efforts to form people who are mature and responsible for building the common good. It is inspired by the proverb of African wisdom which says that "to educate a child, it takes an entire village". The image of the village evokes a broad alliance for education which entrusts responsibility not only to certain social actors, but supposes the involvement of the whole of society.

Since the start of the 23 day journey, listening to so many people, in a meeting, they were talking about adventures. Seeing the reality, their resembling faces, they even seemed to be identical; each person is unique ; and each people has its particularities.
One evening, while I was mulling over what we had experienced during the day, I asked myself: What is it to be a migrant? what is it to be a migrant? From what I heard that day, I mentally elaborated a few sentences which - between the lines and directly came from the sharing, from their releases.
To be a migrant is to know what you have left behind and never what you will find ahead, what you will do tomorrow. It's looking for a place where you feel peaceful and happy.
To be a migrant is to continue to travel. Wanting to pass, cross borders, follow the path; to be a migrant is to carry the weight of the journey and the indifference of the authorities...
